Lexington join panel debate to discuss the role of HR

Julia Edmonds, Managing Director at Lexington, spoke at an event organised by employee engagement experts, Purple Cubed, focusing on the future of HR.

She was joined by Paul Nisbett, Financial and Commercial Director at Puma Hotel’s Collection, and Steve Rockey, Head of People at Byron, who discussed the role of HR in business.

There has been much debate about the future of HR and whether it is a dying career.

What’s clear from the panellists is that people create profit and in order to succeed employees need to understand the values of the business and be aligned to the culture of the organisation. This is where HR come in.

Julia Edmonds, Managing Director at Lexington said, “Our success is due to our people. We know that without our people we would not be where we are today.

“We are people centric and this is the driving force behind our business. Everyone understands our values and knows where we are heading – it’s important this continues and it’s HR who can help do this.”

The event was filmed and will be available to watch over the coming weeks. Visit www.purplecubed.com for more information.
