THRIVING PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES
We’re proud of the diversity and talent of our people. We want all our colleagues to be able to maximise their potential, and we’re committed to their development, whatever level they start at in the company. We reward their work and commitment with advancement and with the opportunity to develop skills that will give them the opportunity for rewarding employment for life.
We encourage all colleagues to get involved in community initiatives, including taking up to two paid days per year to volunteer for a charity of their choice.
As a business we support the community in a number of ways. These include:
- Food sessions at Great Ormond Street Hospital
- Adopt a School – many of our chefs mentor children at local schools
- Supporting the Central London Rough Sleepers Committee
- Supporting Heads Together
- Supporting Dreams Come True annual charity events
A CIRCULAR MODEL – REDUCING WASTE
As supporters of WRAP’s Guardian of Grub campaign, we are working towards zero food waste right across our operations, who have seen a huge success so far.
We are also developing partnerships that will enable us to keep resources in use for longer, optimise their value and recover and regenerate them using the best practices of the circular economy.
Food waste is not only a waste of precious natural resources, it also contributes to climate change if it is not disposed of using environmentally friendly methods. We will continue to find innovative ways to both cut food waste and then to divert unavoidable waste away from landfill, creating partnerships to close the loop.
