Lexington support Children’s Charity Dreams Come True to hold an exclusive party at Hamleys

On Sunday 3 May Lexington supported Children’s Charity Dreams Come True and treated over 75 families to an exclusive party at the world’s finest toy store, Hamleys.

Lexington supported Dreams Come True to hold its third annual Dream Party for children with life-limiting illnesses at the world famous toy store, Hamleys. Around 75 children and young adults who have been supported by Dreams Come True by providing the power of a dream and lasting memories at difficult times in their lives, attended the party.

Sue Fowler, Head of Fundraising and Marketing, at Dreams Come True said, “It’s been truly heart warming to see all our Dream children and their families enjoying themselves on this special day. These young people are living with life limiting conditions so days like this are so important to bring smiles to their faces. Hamleys has been fantastic and we thank them for helping us to hold this party and celebrate Dreams Come True.”

The red carpet event also welcomed Disney Princesses, Stormtroopers, Spiderman, The Gruffalo and the mouse and ‘Despicable Me’ minions. Children and families were thrilled with the full morning of entertainment provided by Hamleys, which included balloon sculptors, a puppet show and a dazzling magician show along with a Dreams Come True facepainter. The famous Hamley bear made a special appearance too.

Mike Sunley, Managing Director at Lexington said, “Being part of the Dreams Come True annual event, at Hamleys, is a key part of Lexington’s annual calendar and such fun. We are grateful to many of our suppliers who helped support the day and to Murray Tapiki, Development Chef at Lexington, and his team who gave up their time to ensure the children have fun. It’s a great opportunity to meet the children and we are delighted to support Dreams Come True, who really do make a difference to the lives of many children.”
