Lexington Catering, award-winning contract caterer, is pleased to announce its new partnership with Pastry Chef, Claire Clark MBE. Lexington will be supporting the new Claire Clark Academy, which opens in Milton Keynes College next month; Centre of Patisserie Excellence.
Claire’s new pastry academy is aimed at students, professionals and home bakers, with courses starting mid-May and the first intake of students in September. The areas covered are varied and will include; chocolate, sugar work, bread, pastry work, modern desserts, classic desserts and plating desserts.
The two-year, full-time course, will accommodate 14 full-time students. It will cover all aspects of patisserie in detail and give students the additional benefit of having work experience with Claire Clark in her ‘day job’, running Pretty Sweet.
Lexington Catering will be supporting Claire Clark and a selection of the Lexington team taking part in training at the new Academy. Rob Kirby, Chef Director at Lexington says, “We are constantly looking for new ways to support our chefs and help them be they very best that they can be. We have some fabulous pastry chefs across the business and are super-excited to be able to work with Claire to support their development and drive innovation.
“Claire has been a fantastic support to Lexington over the past nine years, helping to judge our annual Lex Chef competition and encouraging our chefs to push themselves. The new partnership will see Claire Clark work closely with Lexington Catering at key client events throughout the year. Claire Clark says: “I’m so excited about the launch of the new Academy.
