Nick Martindale speaks to Emma Langford, People Manager at Lexington, about Lexington’s approach to talent management for a piece in Inspire, The Institute of Leadership and Management’s online magazine.
Over the past two years, Lexington has introduced a number of new initiatives designed to develop talent across the whole business. The article talks about the Aspiring Leadership programme, which seeks to identify managers and head chefs with leadership potential and develop their skills to prepare them for leadership posts.
Emma says, “We needed to make sure that we had a really solid platform in place in terms of succession, and wanted to have our future leaders coming up through Lexington. But it’s also an opportunity for us to develop people in their existing roles.”
Emma also talks about other training and development initiatives, including NVQs and a new mentoring scheme.
