Nine talented baristas have secured their place in the finals of Lexington’s Baristar of the Year competition, following a heated few weeks with over 100 baristas entering this year’s competition.
Clients and coffee experts will attend an event, on the 16th March 2017 at Knight Frank, which will see the finalists go head to head. These include general assistants who work in Lexington and the Elior City B&I business:

– Alvaro Bozzi
– Alex Garson
– Luis Cacedo
– Damjan Galev
– Ciprian Savu
36 baristas got through to the semi-final where they had to show the judges they not only have the technical capabilities to make fabulous coffee but also creativity. Rob Kirby, Chef Director at Lexington says, “The competition has been heated throughout and we are looking for some fun on the night.”
The judging panel, on the 16th March, includes Lexington’s CEO, Mike Sunley and Chef Director, Rob Kirby, Kerry Lawrence from Union Hand Roasted, Illy coffee legend, Aniello Manfredonia, and James-Lee Campbell, Specialist Barista for UCC Coffee UK & Ireland.
