Lexington Catering Best in Class

Lexington Catering is celebrating after an outstanding display from its chefs at the NEC Hospitality Show 2015 (19th – 21st January 2015). The Lexington chefs competed across two days in the Lexington Superfood Challenge, the Elior Street Food Challenge and the Tilda Young Chef of the Year competition. Between the brigade of chefs they scooped a Gold, three Silver and one Bronze and three Best in Class, as well as first year apprentice, Krishan Makol being named the Tilda Young Chef of the Year.

 Monday – Lexington Superfood Challenge

  • Ben Tamlyn and Joanna Moore – Silver and Best in Class
  • Tony Stuart and Louise Roberts – Bronze

 Tuesday – Elior Street Food Challenge

  • Matt Jaynes – Silver and Best in Class
  • Pete Denhart – Silver

 Tuesday – Tilda Young Chef of the Year Competition

  • Krishan Makol, Lex School of Talent Apprentice – Gold, Best in Class and named Tilda Young Chef of the Year

Rob Kirby, Chef Director says, “What a fantastic result! The guys had practised and practised their dishes, drilling down their technique and style to compete against the industries finest and their dedication really shows. For us to win all ‘Best in Class’ across 100% off the competitions entered is a Lexy first – an amazing team win that absolutely underpins our real food culture’.
