Designed by Caterer and Hotelkeeper to recognise the brightest stars of the hospitality industry, the Acorns are awarded to 30 people, under 30, who are nominated by their peers and colleagues for having made a significant impression in their field.
Emma started working in the hospitality industry at the age of 15 and she has achieved so much already at the age of 27. She was recognised for her commitment and passion to the hospitality industry and her achievements during her career, specifically since joining Lexington last year.
Emma has achieved so much in such a short space of time, which has helped the business gain Gold Accreditation from the Investors In People and rank number 7 in The Sunday Times Best Companies Top 100 Companies.
Other recent achievements include:
• Developing and launching ‘LexTalk’, a refreshed Extranet site, which has seen 80% increase in usage, she has launched a new scheme to recognise top talent within Lexington.
• Developing an equality and diversity campaign, Lex Respect, to ensure Lexington continue to create a fun work environment, where people enjoy coming to work and can achieve their potential.
• Introducing two new development initiatives, the Aspiring Leadership Programme and NVQ opportunities through jobwise

Emma was joined by 29 other young professionals, including Ed Cooke, former General Manager at Lexington, who received recognition for his achievements during his time at Lexington.
