On Wednesday 17th August, we hosted our annual Aspiring Leaders Programme graduation ceremony, at Berwin Leighton Paisner, for our seven Lexington participants, complete with canapes and drinks.
Emma Langford, People Manager at Lexington says, “Our Aspiring Leaders Programme is an interactive and innovative 12-month course designed to develop leadership skills the Lexy Way! Alongside seven tailored sessions, intended to reflect and develop each of the Lexington Leadership DNA behaviours, participants gain a nationally recognised qualification from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).”
As part of the programme all participants have to identify an area for improvement in Lexington’s operation, evaluate it, create a solution and then develop a business case for launching it. The best idea then gets developed and rolled out across the company.
This year’s most compelling idea came from Marta Chwiloc-Filoc, Catering Manager at Ofcom, with her project that will improve managers’ performance and enhance our service to clients.
Marta, commenting on her win, said, “I’m over the moon to win this year’s ALP project competition! I’m really excited about developing my plan and seeing the implementation of my idea across the company – hopefully it will have a really positive impact!”
Last year’s winner Kamila Ksiazek, Deputy Restaurant Manager Marlow International, recently launched her idea, LexConnect app across the company. The LexConnect app gives our teams the ability to access and share information at the swipe of a finger. The app’s designed to support our culture of sharing stories, photos and feedback, making everyone feel part of the Lexy team!
The app has been a huge hit with our teams and has received fantastic feedback from across the organisation.
